Been a bit busy and let the wildlife water go down a wee bit more than normal. The stick poking out is there to help birds not drown when the water is low. It works. Cleaned and filled bath this morning as today is heading for the ‘new-normal’ temperatures.

Most kangaroos we have ever captured on camera at one time. Has been extraordinarily hot today so I'm not surprised. So glad I gave them clean water today.

Why is the face in the Moon a man? She or he is looking jaundiced tonight and like the Moon god has smoke in his or her eyes. Expecting her or him to sneeze.

We converted an old derelict bookcase into a possum box.

High excitement at the sewage farm today! South African Shelduck, my first true vagrant. Yet to be confirmed by whoever does the confirming but a few people have seen her in the last week. I've been down twice looking for her specifically and today i got lucky. Beautiful duck. Poor thing shouldn't be here, must've gotten very off course somehow. This is the first Sth African shelduck to be recorded in Australia (provided the species is confirmed, but it's looking likely).
