    Still being small-minded, I couldn't resist a shot at this flying ant on my lappie screen.

    Of course it's not a termite - "belt's real tight: not ter-mite" or "tighty panty, must be anty".

    At work I saw a big Pheasant Coucal, Australias largest cuckoo. It' th only cuckoo that doesn't parasitise other bird's nests. I couldn't get a picture though.

    Damn that’s a smart looking bird. We don’t get pheasant coucals in Victoria unfortunately. I’m off for a bit of birding today, I doubt i’ll find anything quite so grand. Lucky northerners.
