Atheism is the acceptance that there is no credible scientific or factually reliable evidence for the existence of a god, gods or the supernatural.
It's the strongest piece of property the AFA has, that definition.(Cant get rid of the italics in that sentence - David)
Thanks for that Black. I'll take that as a compliment.

But while I don't have much chance of getting thru to the likes of Sam Harris, I feel like we've got half a chance with some of the bogan atheist islamophobes on their facebook page.
Sam Harris just needs to read Heidegger, that it'd fix him up. It fixed me up, although of course, everyone's an individual.
    I'm not.
"History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government".
    -Thomas Jefferson

Burden of proof is the obligation on somebody presenting a claim to provide evidence to support its truth (a warrant). Once evidence has been presented, it is up to any opposing "side" to show the evidence presented is not adequate. If claims were accepted without warrants, then every claim could simultaneously be claimed to be true.

History isn't written by the victors. It's written by the people with the time machines.

This is some horrid, bigoted, racist sh*t. Mods/admin please feel free to delete if appropriate.

A couple of atheists defending it on the bases that it's "just a joke". Most appear to have a similar attitude to mine.

This is the face of atheism on social media these days. Sad and pathetic.

Wrong -ism, that poster on Farcebook.

Sexism, racism, but where the fuck does it actually deal with the god/no god thing?

They were having a moan last week about how Facebook keeps suspending the people who run the group. After today's effort, I sense another suspension just around the corner.

I am surprised that Facebook continues to tolerate them at all. Being a platform for hate speech is not really part of Facebook's business model.
